Volume 1, Issue No. 0: September 1998

The first issue of the RUSA newsletter is only available online. It is devoted to RUSA's founding and the events leading up to it. We apologize for this rather dry material. The goal is better understanding through full access to all official correspondence.

The first article is the public announcement which you may have already seen on the RANDON mailing list. The second article is an overview summarizing (hopefully fairly) the process up to now. The remaining articles are the actual correspondence in chronological order. The 1989 and 1997 material is for reference and hopefully provides some historical perspective.
