Long Brevets
|
Randonneurs USA (RUSA) organizes brevets in the USA under the auspices of the Audax Club Parisien (ACP) and the Randonneurs Mondiaux (RM). The Brevets de Randonneurs Mondiaux (BRM) are long distance bicycle rides that are sanctioned by the ACP and the RM. The best known of these is the ACP's Paris-Brest-Paris (PBP). BRMs are timed events, with both an overall and intermediate times that apply. Participants and their bicycles must comply with the ACP's BRM Rules (Rules for Riders) to successfully complete an event. Organizers of BRMs must also comply with the ACP's supplemental BRM rules (Rules for Organizers) governing the organization of events. Rules for the Flèches-USA, RUSA Arrow, and the RUSA Dart are available here. Rules for theRandonneur 5000 Award are also available. How to organize a Team Randonnée event is described in this new document, which provides an overview of the steps to design and get approval for a team event. Permanents are described in an FAQ. Rules for organizers are found in the Rules for Permanent Route Owners. Rules for riders are found in the Rules for Permanent Riders. A sub-category of Permanents, Free-Route Permanents, has been created. Rules for Free-Route Permanents can be viewed here. |
