ATTENDEES: Bill Bryant, John Lee Ellis, Don Hamilton, Lois Springsteen, Tim Sullivan, Mike Dayton, Mark Thomas, Mark Vickers, Tracey Ingle, Jennifer Wise, Terry Zmrhal, Robert Fry
-
Bob Riggs RBA Application (Houston, TX) - Voted and approved Bob
as the replacement RBA for the Houston region and authorized to
run a full ACP series for 2006.
-
Additional RUSA events - Voted and approved additional RUSA
events in Nashville, Washington DC, Portland Oregon and Santa
Rosa.
-
Change Rules for Riders Article 6 (lighting) - Voted and
approved changes to the first paragraph of Rules for Riders
Article 6 to state the following: "For night riding, vehicles
must be equipped with front and rear lights attached firmly to
the vehicle. Lights must be fully functional at all times
during hours of darkness or other low-light conditions. At
least one of the rear lights must be in a steady (rather than
flashing) mode. All riders' lights must meet the requirements
of local laws. A rider is not permitted to cycle at night or
in other low-light conditions without working front and rear
lights attached to the vehicle; therefore backup lighting
systems and/or spare bulbs are strongly recommended in case
the primary system fails and cannot be repaired on the
roadside."
-
Election of Officers - Mark Thomas has been elected President
with John Lee Ellis continuing as Vice President and Tim
Sullivan as Treasurer. Terry Zmrhal is the new Secretary and
Bill Bryant is the new Fleches USA/Team Randonnee
Chairman. All other volunteers are remaining in their current
positions. A big thanks to Bill Bryant for the job he did as
RUSA President for the past two years.
-
Treasurers report - Tim Sullivan reports that RUSA is
financially stable.
-

including need to publish more RUSA Handbooks, upcoming

August 20 - 24. Jenn Barber reported that she has reviewed and
